We are BRBR

BRBR is a film collective based in Madrid and London that broke out in the urban music video scene in 2014 with their boundary-pushing new formats and heightened cinematographic and artistic vision that felt completely novel and distinctive at the time. Today, BRBR has been recognised as one of the most promising European talents. They have been awarded up to 7 Cannes Lions in the last three years, and have been included in the prestigious list Saatchi&Saatchi New Creators Showcase. BRBR’s work has also been screened in festivals such as Young Directors Award, Ciclope, CdeC, El Ojo de Iberoamerica, Shots or Berlin Commercial.

BRBR’s body of work combines a delicate yet powerful aesthetic, with a solid and consistent narrative. Their vision hovers between an otherworldly and raw reality instilled with an oneiric touch.   BRBR’s first feature film, La Mala Familia, premiered in Seville European Film Festival (World premiere) and International Film Festival Rotterdam (International Premiere). With a casting made up exclusively of non-professional actors, actually, the characters were casted to play themselves in their own story. The film is about a group of friends who have not been able to see each other for some time, and who take advantage of their friend Andrés' prison leave to meet again. As the sun goes down, they will have to face a problem from the past that threatens to put them all in jail. It will be on Netflix Worldwide in the second half of 2023.
